Almost 70.9 million rubles from the regional budget are planned to be allocated for the resettlement of three residential buildings located in the historic center of Nizhny Novgorod. This amount is specified in the explanatory note to the July amendments to the regional budget for 2025.
The buildings in question are No. 10 on Studenaya Street, part of the "Shchyolokov Manor" cultural heritage site, No. 38 on Zvezdinka, and No. 43 on Alekseevskaya.
All three buildings are located in the historic Studenoy district.
In March, city council deputies approved the transfer from state property to municipal shares in a communal apartment in the house on Studenaya Street to facilitate the resettlement process. The building itself is included in the list of directives aimed at developing the historic Studenoy district as a unified property complex. It was also reported that the apartment building on Zvezdinka will be resettled in 2025, rather than 2029 as previously planned. The reason is funding allocation from the regional budget.
Additionally, on July 18, during a meeting of the city council’s permanent commission on social policy, it was announced that the mayor's office proposes to increase expenditure on the resettlement of emergency housing: by 73 million rubles — funded by the city’s own resources — and an additional 0.4 million rubles — from interbudgetary transfers. This information was provided by Yuri Mocharkin, director of the city administration’s finance department, during the presentation of the latest amendments to Nizhny Novgorod’s current budget.
