      The pedestrian sidewalk on Monchegorskaya Street has been repaired after residents’ requests to the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuriy Shalabaev. According to the district administration, about 3 million rubles were allocated from the city budget for its improvement. "The sidewalk runs from the bus stop 'Ulitsa Orbelia' along the Lider Stadium and School No. 128. This route is very popular and has a high foot traffic. Nearby are kindergartens, schools, and a children's clinic," emphasized Alexander Nagin, head of the Autozavodsky District Administration. The renovated sidewalk, approximately 400 meters long with a total area of 1,200 square meters, connects and shortens the path to socially significant facilities. Now it is faster and more comfortable to reach the post office, kindergarten, and school. "It used to be a real problem to get to the post office, especially with children’s transport: it was impossible to pass with a stroller, and you had to go around, which was not easy with small children. Now, with the new sidewalk, we can walk calmly without worrying about children's safety," shared young mother Lyubov Sidorova. This year, on the mayor’s instructions, sidewalks on Vedenyapina and Vatutina streets, as well as the sidewalk in the Mostootriad settlement, have been repaired. It was previously reported that a turning circle for public transport was expanded in the 'Tsvety' residential complex following a personal appointment with Yuriy Shalabaev by a resident of the Prioksky District.
