Fifteen Nizhny Novgorod companies participated in the Nizhny Novgorod Industry Day at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation

      Economy: 15 Nizhny Novgorod companies participated in the Nizhny Novgorod Region Industry Day at the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade.

      The regional delegation was led by the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship, Maxim Cherkasov. It also included leaders of industry-specific divisions of the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Development Corporation for Industry and Entrepreneurship of the region, the Nizhny Novgorod Industry Development Fund, and the Scientific and Manufacturing Center for Unmanned Aerial Systems.

      The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Ivan Kulikov.

      “Nizhny Novgorod Region ranks among the leading regions, taking second place in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia’s efficiency rating for 2024. This is a high achievement resulting from the joint efforts of the region and the federal center in implementing industrial policies and developing industrial potential. The region leads in providing federal support measures to manufacturing enterprises, including using federal FRP funds, as well as in the level of industrial infrastructure development,” emphasized the deputy minister.

      He added that the Industry of Nizhny Novgorod Region has significant potential for growth and further development.

      According to Maxim Cherkasov, attracting federal support measures for enterprises is one of the key tasks facing the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      “Constant contact with the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade allows us to coordinate enterprises in the implementation of federal development instruments into their operations. This support helps companies invest in production, modernize technologies, expand product range, and open new manufacturing facilities, thereby ensuring the development of the regional industrial complex. Since the beginning of the year, the region’s industry has demonstrated positive dynamics. The volume of shipped goods for January-May 2025 amounted to 941.7 billion rubles, a 6.7% increase compared to the same period last year. In manufacturing sectors, the volume reached 854.7 billion rubles—growth of 7.3%,” noted Maxim Cherkasov.

      As part of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Industry Day, representatives from the industry divisions of the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade and local businesses held a series of working negotiations to discuss several relevant issues. These included the participation of Nizhny Novgorod companies in the national projects “Unmanned Aerial Systems,” “New Materials and Chemistry,” and “Bioeconomy,” support measures and preferential leasing programs in shipbuilding, as well as support for projects in the medical device manufacturing sector.

      “We have been closely cooperating with the Nizhny Novgorod Region Ministry of Industry and Trade for several years, successfully resolving most issues in the region. Nevertheless, meetings with the federal structure are undoubtedly useful, as they allow us to present our ideas and projects at the national level,” said Alexander Polyakov, General Director of LLC “Chromos Engineering.”
