      The investigation into the criminal case against Zviad Ozmanyan has been completed in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The regional prosecutor's office approved the indictment, and the materials have been sent to the regional court for trial.

      Ozmanyan is charged with committing a crime under Article 210.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — occupying a leading position in the criminal hierarchy.

      According to investigators, while in detention, the convicted person, sentenced for crimes related to illegal drug trafficking, managed to establish a leading position in the criminal environment.

      From February 2014 to July 2024, he used his position to establish and control the informal order among inmates. Also, according to the investigation, Ozmanyan delegated authority to other convicts, supervised the distribution of prohibited items within the colony, monitored the replenishment of the so-called "common fund," and allocated financial resources of the criminal community.

      Now, the court will decide the fate of the accused.

      It was previously reported that the suspected "thief in law" was transferred from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod.
