      The authorities of the Nizhny Novgorod region plan to start attracting investors this year for a large-scale project in the Sennaya Square area. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the regional government Ivan Kargin at a briefing.

      A plot of about 11 hectares is located in the center of Nizhny Novgorod and has high transport and tourist accessibility. A cable car is already in operation here, a metro station is under construction, and plans are underway for organizing a major transfer hub. Authorities emphasize that the development of this area should be balanced — in addition to residential development, modern office spaces are also needed.

      According to Ivan Kargin, preparations for the master plan of the project are currently being finalized. The document is in the final stage of approval and will soon be approved at one of the regional headquarters.

      "This year, we will definitely, to the delight of the residents of Nizhny Novgorod, announce tenders for attracting investors," Kargin noted.

      The project involves the development of over 225,000 square meters of residential and non-residential facilities. Authorities hope that, due to its advantageous location and a comprehensive approach, the area will become a new center of business activity and a hotspot for companies and city residents.

      It was previously reported that the "government quarter" project in the Sennaya area was valued at 47 million rubles.
