      Incidents: The investigation into a murder committed in December 2024 has been completed in Dzerzhinsk. The court found a local resident guilty of intentionally causing the death of an acquaintance. This was reported by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      According to the investigation and the court, the tragedy occurred on Kombrig Patolichev Street. During an argument with a man he previously knew, the defendant took out a folding knife and delivered multiple strikes to the opponent's head and chest. The victim died at the scene from his injuries.

      The court sentenced the man to 11 years in prison. He will serve his sentence in a high-security penal colony.

      It was previously reported that a woman from the Sokolsky district of Nizhny Novgorod was sentenced to 9 years for the murder of her common-law partner.
